TAKE NOTICE on January 6, 2005, the Mayor and Town Council of the TOwn of Mountain Lake Park adopted a Resolution for an amendment to the Town Charter. A fair summary of the proposed Amendment to the Mountain Lake Park Charter as provided for in Section 13 (e) of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland is as follows: CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2005-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK, REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY, SCETION 26-51 OF ITS MUNICIPAL CHARTER, AND ENACTING IN ITS PLACE AND STEAD, A NEW SECTION 25-51 OF ITS MUNICIPAL CHARTER PROVIDING ALL PURCHASES AND CONTRACTS FOR THE TOWN GOVERNEMNT SHALL BE MADE BY THE MAYOR AND/OR THE CLERK TREASURER OR SUCH OTHER INDIVIDUAL APPOINTED BY THE MAYOR AND APPROVED BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THE TOWN COUNCIL. THE COUNCIL SHALL PROVIDE FOR THE RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING THE USE OF COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND CONTRACTS FOR ALL TOWN PURCHASES AND CONTRACTS BY ORDINANCE. This notice is given in accordance with the Policy for the Adoption of Charter Amendments by the Mayor and Town Council of Mountain Lake Park. An exact copy of this amendment will be posted in the Town Hall for 40 days and the fair summary will be published in a newspaper of general circulation at least four times (once a week for four consecutive weeks).
