Effective January 1, 2005, the County has been mandated by the State of Maryland to bill a Chesapeaker Bay Restoration Fund fee or "Flush Tax" of $2.50 per month or $7.50 per quater. This fee will be charged to all residential and commercial water and sewer customers begining with the billing period of January 1, to March 31, 2005. Commercial customers will be billed EDU (equivalent dwelling unit) basis of 250 gallons per day. All funds collected for this tax through Garrett County will be remitted to the State of Maryland.
