Stained Glass Cutting Demonstrations and Tool Explanation
Located at the Stained Glass Gallery, 214 "I" Street, Mountain Lake Park, across the street from Faith Evangelical Free Church. Open 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Come and see stained glass cutting demonstrations, including tool explaination by Lou DiCarlo. The stained glass showroom features 2,000 stained glass creations. Simon Pearce Tours
265 Glass Drive, Oakland. 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. Open 7 days, excluding New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Factory open to visitors for self-guided tours to watch master glass blowers create beautiful glassware. Retail store on premises. Open Museum at The Ticket Office
Spruce and G Streets, Mtn. Lake Park. 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. Events are held the third Sunday of every month. Built in 1900 and currently restored as a museum, the "Ticket Office" served as the Mountain Lake Park Association office and tickets for events were sold there for the events held in the Bashford Amphitheater. Mtn. Lake Park Tours
Come and see the historic nature and beauty of Mountain Lake Park. Several located in MLP have been named to the National Historic Registry. Self-Guide Tours are available throughout the year. Take a walk through the historic district and view the Victorian Architecture and peaceful mountain atmosphere. Audio tape tours and other information is available by contacting the Mtn. Lake Park Town Hall at 301-334-2250.

46th Annual Garrett County Fishing Contest
Co-sponsored by Deep Creek Outfitters Hardware and Bait House and the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce. Weekly winners receive a certificate; awards given for the season's largest catches. All fish must be caught in Garrett County waters and then registered at Deep Creek Outfitters Hardware and Bait House, 32 Outfitters Way, McHenry. www.garrettchamber.com. Contact 301-387-2200.

Mid-January through Spring, 2007
4th Annual Garrett County Ice Fishing Contest
Co-Sponsored by Deep Creek Outfitters Hardware and Bait House and the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce. This contest runs from mid-January (or when county lakes are frozen) until the lakes are no longer frozen. Weekly winners receive certificate; awards given for the season's largest catches. All fish must be caught in Garrett County waters and then registered at Deep Creek Outfitters Hardware and Bait House, 32 Outfiters Way, McHenry.
