Planing on visiting the Mountain Lake Park/Garrett County Area? Here are some directions to help you get here from all directions. We are just two hours from Pittsburgh and three hours from the Baltimore Washington D.C. area. On your next trip to Deep Creek Lake, stop by Mtn. Lake Park for a casual trip through the Park. We welcome you to come for a visit!
From the East (Baltimore/Washington D.C. area):
- Take Interstate 70 West towards Frederick/Hagerstown/Hancock
- Merge onto Interstate 68 West via Exit 1A towards Cumberland (left exit)
- Take exit 14A of off Interstate 68 - Merge onto US 219 South towards Oakland
- After arriving in Oakland follow the signs towards Route 135 East
- Make a left onto East Oak Street at light
- You will enter Mtn. Lake Park after passing through two traffic lights (about 2 miles).
From the West (Morgantown, WV/Ohio and points West):
- After reaching Morgantown WV take Interstate 68 East towards Cumberland
- Take Exit 4 - towards Friendsville/MD-42.
- Merge onto Garrett Hwy/US 219 and followi signs to Oakland
- After arriving in Oakland follow the signs towards Route 135 East
- Make a left onto East Oak Street at light
- You will enter Mtn. Lake Park after passing through two traffic lights (about 2 miles).
From the North (Pittsburgh, PA area and Points North):
- Take Interstate 79 South toward Washington PA
- Merge onto Interstate 68 towards Cumberland via Exit 148
- After reaching Morgantown WV take Interstate 68 East towards Cumberland
- Take Exit 4 - towards Friendsville/MD-42.
- Merge onto Garrett Hwy/US 219 and followi signs to Oakland
- After arriving in Oakland follow the signs towards Route 135 East
- Make a left onto East Oak Street at light
- You will enter Mtn. Lake Park after passing through two traffic lights (about 2 miles).
